I have been doing a lot of research but still have a lot of questions I would like to run by someone that has some knowledge about commercial/multi-family real estate. 

It’s a huge move, and you’re already starting off strong by asking questions and soaking in as much knowledge as possible.

If these continual expenses are not made  you end up with slum properties renting for a minimum weekly rate to transients.I don’t know your properties so I can’t form a specific opinion; however, based on the information you’ve shared I trust your opinion and knowledge.

Many assumptions were made as to my knowledge, part due to my "rookie status" on the thread and part in that being the first deal being made. 

I've done plenty of deals without and agent, off market not even on the MLS but I'm one of those wholesalers that did things properly, had qualified buyers before even reaching out to sellers and strictly stuck with assignments.Biggest problem is so many "wholesalers" barely have the understand of a deed or what title insurance is so there's an immense amount of knowledge they need before hand which can just be provided to them by getting a license!

Being local affords many conveniences based on access and your knowledge of the area.

However, forgive my curiosity - I'm really just trying to soak up as much knowledge as possible.

I'm a foreign national living in Ghana, and I have some knowledge about Real Estate, though I have little experience.I would love to have a partner who could go in with me, to put up any cash that might be needed.
