@Bill Brandt unlike the USA, most Canadian provinces have rent control with prescribed rates of increase.

CRA will share info with the provinces (or territories) as they get their portion of your income tax, but that is it. 

I'm looking forward to experienced multi-family investors who have held property in provinces, state, or cities with rent control.

Eviction bans, which varied depending on the province, were lifted a long time ago and we only had limited help for tenants with rent last year (again some locations had it, others didn't).

I was looking at incorporation in Canada, and I saw that each province has its own rules. 

We have a few out-of-province rentals and fund some flips. 

In one area where I invest, the province lists all of the assessments.
