Stumbled upon this thread and came across this link.

I stumbled on BP from a podcast episode Josh Dorkin did on the Radical Personal Finance podcast, and have been hooked.

If you do choose the coaching or mentor route, keep in mind that 99% of the "gurus" that you will stumble across have been in the business only throughout this last upswing and haven't been through multiple market cycles.

Trucking is effectively killing my life and I want my freedom back.So that was how I stumbled on Real estate.

What that means is that, unless I stumble across a great deal, I will probably not be investing in my area any time in the near future.

I also stumbled across writing the companies a good will letter to try and have the accounts removed.

Upon researching this I stumbled upon BiggerPockets I've sent watched thousands of webinars and podcast and read a few books in the few months that I've known about BiggerPockets.

The others are one I stumble on on MLS or loopnet. 

I stumbled upon BP's podcast (then the forum) when searching for a way to learn on-the-go in the lovely LA traffic each and everyday, I was hooked when I heard more stories of building wealth the right way.I currently own my house in Huntington, however searching for ways to take my first step in REI, whether that is in CA, where cap rates are low and prices high, or OOS, but very wary of D class neighborhoods. 

Plenty of options across this great nation but you need to be aware of potential stumbling blocks.
