I understand that if a lien is put on a property the owner of the tax certificate is entitled to what ever the principal plus interest (someone i was talking to mentioned to me that the interest can amount to 20%, but i take everything i hear with a grain of salt).

I did both sort of simultaneously, searched for both qualified leads and serious buyers at the same time.I can only speak for myself and say that I am a novice so just take my word with a grain of salt. 

I noticed that most times counties have market value assigned,  are those typically accurate or to be taken with a grain of salt?

I definitely have learned to take whatever a tenant says with a grain of salt.

@Alex Silang Take my words with a grain of salt as I've never been a LL, but I would say you're being too idealistic.

Thankfully the former property manager's reputation proceeds them, with everything being said being taken with a heavy grain of salt.

I would look at those but obviously take them with a grain of salt because they are going to put their best foot forward.
