Only two states, MI and TX, have smaller departure rates as a percentage of the population.So, CA doesn’t rank #1 in net outflow or even close to it.

🤔In New Hampshire we are ranked 3rd amongst the highest gun ownership per capita.

This question got me thinking because I hadn't researched the migration companies or top companies lately, and I found a couple of cool articles.Here is one on the migration patterns over the last two years.https://www.census.gov/library....And then I was looking up top companies in Indianpolis to see if rankings had changed and found this article.https://livability.com/in/indi...I think the economic diversity is the best thing Indy has going for it. 

My area,  Folsom/El Dorado Hills ranks among the top suburbs in the State with nothing but 9/10-10/10 schools and pricing is on par with those three cities and possibly less.  

Then when you have your list, I would rank them based on whatever factors are important to you.Then make the move :)This is what I did 4 years ago, and that's how you'll know wherever you choose will fit your investing and lifestyle goals.

I've found that military with the rank of E-4 and above do very well.

Remember it does not matter where the rank and file is moving or working from, it is where the top brass is based out of that will dictate where the employee population will grow. 

Us longer time BP members have watched your journey congrats from moving from working for someone to the ranks of self employed , I don't look at that as retirement.. retirement means you have ZERO debt and a money manager that send you your dough to live on.. at least to me.I became self employed at 18 when I got my RE license.. keep a cool head and remember that the last 8 years were epic.. its not always like this.. so at this point unless you own all of those units free and clear I would start snowballing them one by one.. that's when your truly retired..

I cross-referenced those results with liveability, great places for raising a family, etc. rankings. 

However Austin stands a good chance of becoming a major city within the US, and a lot of top ranked companies are moving here.
