Welcome to the BP Raheem, I'm an investor in the commercial sector.

Hopefully it will help me to dispell the concerns of potential investors as I plan to continue to build my portfolio with worldwide properties.

To summarize my situation briefly:-I have a full-time job in the professional sector in Kansas City, but am interested in REI both because it interests me more than my 9-5 job, and because I see it as a way to generate income without being dependent on a company.

PA realtor and Pittsburgh STR host with rentals in downtown next to the PPG, North sector, Mexican War Streets, Allegheny, stretching to Lawrenceville.All good locations, as are those that you had mentioned.  

If someone comes to me, I'll send them your way.If you need help in your search or want to verify something don't hesitate to ask.For example: I have clients worldwide and things are just as easy as I e-mail them, talking on the phone.

I've checked with 2 attys in my locale and they both say we are fine because the definition of originator does not apply in the private sector.

Lending is a great way to derive income in the real estate sector.

CA taxes residents on worldwide income but may provide a credit for taxes paid to other states.

@Eric, look at macro/micro indicators... narrow it down to areas with solid population growth, and solid economic growth (from multiple job sectors)...Then look at rent-to-price ratio's and confirm that you can cash flow there.

Not to mention the pay is much better than in my current sector.
