Engineer Transition to Development Career
Hi All,
Long time lurker, first time poster. I am an early career geotech engineer in the Bay Area looking to get involved in real estate. I currently work on large scale residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects. My clients are usually well established developers and public agencies. The job is interesting and provides some valuable insight to development and construction, but I want to learn more.
I would love to transition to construction management/real estate development. How can I market my skillset to developers and contractors? Is there a niche I should be looking at?
I know I can bring value to this industry, just need some help defining it. Would love to chat if you have some advice!
