If you aren't wanting grass, maybe carve out a curve in the non-concrete side and plant a few ornamental grasses or hydrangeas or soemthing that will grow big.

You should seek damages from the landscaper for letting the plants die, the mgmt company should not be responsible for your landscaping or managing the landscaper unless you have it in writing.Its hard for the carpet issue.

I think most who live out in that area are ranch hands, plant workers and fisherman.  

Think professionals who have a vested interest in the community and keeping their noses clean, or perhaps a foreman at a local plant who has had to put in 3-5 years working his way up from the bottom.No self-employed.

I have a four-family house in Stamford that has a small yard, a handful of bushes/plants, and a 5-10 yard sidewalk up to the front door.
