Back in my teens, I spent 10 years as a carpet cleaner and have seen rentals completely destroyed by pets that a $300 pet fee wouldn't come close to covering.

Then you have to account for your time spent answering inquiries, booking guests, coordinating cleaners, telling people for the 27th time how to operate the remote control or air conditioner, etc.When you make a complete comparison, the AirBnB option may not produce a much better return and it can be a lot more work.

I have properties in every ward and certainly find the areas that are cleaner easier to manage, less vacancy, ect, but most of the deals I have been seeing for the past few months don't pencil in any wards and finding deals in general has been increasingly difficult. 

Sending a cleaner once a quarter sounds like a reasonable option.

It might be cleaner and easier on you to sell that house.
