Unless you are using it as an initial negotiation tactic (all cash, no inspection kind of offer), I don’t see why you would want to set any limit up front.

If they've moved you're out that tactic.  

In announcing plans for the center earlier this year, they described the new operation’s objectives this way: “Modernizes the Army for the future… will integrate the future operational environment, threat and technologies to develop and deliver future force requirements, designing future force organizations, and delivering materiel capabilities.”The Futures Command center is expected to lead innovation for the Army’s top six modernization projects, including improvement to its tactical missile system, combat vehicles and helicopters, defense teams and weapons.Army officials indicated they were seeking a high-tech, creative culture for the location, rather than a traditionally structured Army post.

Just jumped back into real estate and used my same old tactic to get a wholesale deal.

There are a few other tactics I've used to sway landlords, that I'd be happy to share, as well.

Treat it like you're interviewing them on their tactics - because maybe you are.

A very common tactic is to change classes of real estate using the 1031 exchange to capitalize on cycling stages of different types within a market period.

The 2 day training was all pressure tactics and they use your emotions to get you to sign up for the expensive program which was held in CA where they present on a huge stage with lights and music with a party atmosphere.  3 days of partying and only enough content to demonstrate some possibilities in RE.
