I know they partner with some local hotels to bring guests in, and those hotels are super expensive.  

STR laws in NYC are very strict and the city wants all STRs wiped out so that hotels can profit, all bc of some tax issue.

You can apply this model to different types of real estate but multifamily, mobile home parks, and hotels are better options given the ability to buy larger assets over time.

It would be nice to point guests to fitness options within walking distance.One amenity that has disappeared in recent years that we miss when not in hotels is network television.

Spend the money on flight and hotel when you acquire the property to thoroughly inspect the property and put together a detailed improvement plan.

Meanwhile there are brand new massive residential buildings going up everywhere, 2 LANES INTO 4, 4 into 6, Amazon taking 2 mill sq ft, brand new 20 story Sherwin Williams building in the heart of everything, new restaurants, try getting a hotel room for under 500 in season and more.  

Just out of curiousity why would someone choose this model over a short term rental that is isolated by itself (privacy) or a hotel? 

folks that paid a lot of money for an owner occ house and a stable neighborhood might have an issue with the property being run as a hotel?
