I recently went to my local REIA and our guest speaker (who happens to be a known whoelsaler, I will not mention name) said that you can get paid as a wholesaler at the moment you assign your contract without having to wait for closing.

He was a member of CCIM, National Speakers Association, and had his MBA from Northwestern.

One of the agents we work with married the speaker's daughter so I already got the inside scoop, but it's always fun to meet a real estate legend in person.
