I would drive 1 + hours if my child has a great school and we live in a safe neighborhood.

Does anyone know if there are any special tax benefits in this situation:Buy a 2/3 bedroom house and have the child live in one of the bedrooms and rent out the others. 

It's been a tough 3 years and our money has gone to help pay for new expenses like home care for my Mom, daycare, attorneys and all the other expenses that go with having a small child.

He wants to rent with a lady (she has 15 yr daughter) with 700+ credit score, 2x salary vs rent job, BUT she has "judgement from court" for child support services ( She needs to pay  for child support).

Other tenants are highly allergic, as am I. 

I have a small child and am a single parent.
