so far we have not had a single problem, and our tenants feel very "neighborly" because they all have dogs and hang out in the yard together while they play.I will say that this attitude does not apply to litter box trained animals - dog owners can't just leave for a few days so we have found them to be very responsible tenants.

U R what you see, what hear, what u smell, what u read.Many people only know their back yard or their state.The USA is one of the most diverse countries (money, politics, attitudes, etc) in the world.I have lived in Ireland, France, Australia, and New Zealand, worked in IRE, NZ and AU.There's a different flavor to the USA!

If I were to re-read it again, I would probably have the attitude of it being common sense and I wouldn't learn much from it at this stage, but the reason why it's recommended so much is because the way of thinking he puts forth in that book is different than everything most people have been taught.

Most "mentors" I've seen do things that aren't totally correct, many lack the depth of knowledge to really teach, so you'll end up staring off learning bad habits or attitudes.

About the only thing that would change between me and my tenant, seeing they said something negative on FB or something, would be my attitude and then perhaps only slightly.
