The STR boom reminds me of the boom I saw with marijuana dispensaries when it became legal in my state.

The new neighbors smoke marijuana and cigarettes for hours on end every day causing a hostile living environment.

Downstairs neighbor reports that the couple upstairs is arguing loudly at all hours, and also smoking marijuana in their unit (smell travels).

Smoking marijuana in the unit and claiming that when reading the lease he thought "smoking" only meant cigarettes.

Now hope you find my humor.I would disappear go live in the Asia Most likely Thailand investing a bar then sell over priced beer and food to my friends Which I would set up trips for them ( LOL ) not a bad idea after all.Second Choice would be one of the islands Like Jamaica setting up bar / marijuana shop on the beach.

My cleaner is in there now, and she found marijuana and paraphernalia, (the lease states NO smoking or marijuana use on the property), dog poop all over the carpets (they said they didn't have a pet and didn't pay a pet fee), a broken kitchen cabinet, dog pee on the bedsheets, sex toys under the bed (just in case the dog poop wasn't nasty enough for my poor cleaner), stickers on the wall and a hole in a door, and lots of personal property of the tenants.

At first they were selling turnkey, then promissory notes on new commercial, then notes on growing equipment (for marijuana probably). 

Leasing it out to a mobile home owner, an rv owner, someone with a small amount of cattle, to grow Marijuana (legal in Oklahoma) , potentially build a house for ourselves or to flip.
