- Clear fridge of all magnets- Clear all kitchen and bathroom counters (you really don't want your toothbrush out for pictures)- Remove pet bowls, toys, and beds before showing - Store kid's toys - keep a laundry basket of toys that can quickly be put in car when you leave house (works great for toddlers)- take out the trash- Do not leave 14 bottles of soaps and stuff in bathtub-Store gun cabinet so people do not remember your house as the house with guns- People look in medicine cabinets - don't leave meds that may leave an impression in view- Organize pots and pans - store the bunt, angle food cake pans, waffle iron, fryer and other large items not used often to clear out room- Clean Clean Clean (especially light switches, door knobs and other areas that hands are always on

More on this later.c) Make sure I have clipboards and pens.d) Make sure I have a blank sample of a lease (its required in my area to have this available to applicants before they fill out an application).e) Business cardsBefore the Showinga) If it's my first showing, I'll arrive a while before hand to set up the showing items.Visual - shower curtain liner, towels and hand soap in the bathroom, vases of fake flowers around the place in pleasant colors.Auditory - I use Pandora radio to play classical music at a soft volume.Olfactory - I place Air Wick air fresheners in apple cinnamon scent in one or two places in the unit.If it's not my first showing, I will have left these items there so I don't need to do this step more than once.b) Sweep, vacuum, or mop.

As a closing gift, the "welcome to Chicago" box would contain various items such as a bag of locally roasted coffee, artisan crafted soap that is made locally, 6-pack from local brewery, Chicago themed decorations, etc....Looking for some feedback on this pretty please.
