There is an element of that with a lot of people that live in desirable cities....but no where in the US is that stronger than NYC.

I will try to maintain a stronger focus on this forum over the next few months.

You could always parnter too with someone who maybe has stronger construction skillset but lacks time and you have the stronger skillset of finding the home etc...

Florida's real estate market is also getting stronger, as more people are moving there to get away from the cold.

The folks I know that 'do without' have a stronger reason than to have a big nest egg someday. 

Best to purchase with cash, because it saves you closing costs on the loan and it makes for a stronger offer.

Moving forward, I am working on building a stronger network of people who are real estate investors/pursuing FI.Self-Education: This one is huge for me.

There you tend to have a great tenant base and stronger rents and more chance for equity upside over time.If the property location itself is a C,D,F location even if the property is in decent shape generally long term not much value there.
