In terms of how we determine the difference between a reserved day and a blocked day, this is an integral part of our data.We started picking up data on Airbnb in 2014, and in Q4 2015, Airbnb stopped showing the real reservation information.

If you are using a service that integrates with a credit bureau to pull the report then there is really not much of a need for a SSN on an application - many tenants also feel better knowing that this information is not passed to a new "stranger" - so that might be something to consider.

So, if you are dealing with criminals, I would not expect a high level of integrity, competency, licensing, E&O insurance, etc.
