A way to overcome the obstacle of buying a “bubbly” asset is to inject value add such as renovations or adding bedrooms and/or exercising a more profitable rental strategy such as MTR for your units.

Should I make 2bd 1 bath in a quiet town 35 minutes from the big city a MTR with 2 queen bed sets or 1 queen and make the second bedroom an office or even an entertainment/exercise room?

So this will be just one more exercise in wasting time.

Then qualify for an FHA(meeting requirements of course) when it comes time to exercise your buy option?
