Obviously because of higher income and cash flow during this year, you'll pay more in taxes after tax return.I've got the same situation - more unexpected 1099 income (+SE tax from that) and never paid my advance tax payments.

@Bob MaleckiIf your LLC is "pass-through" - the max you can contribute is your net self-employment earnings minus half of SE tax.

@Jason MeadAs the others have mentioned, flips are generally ordinary income subject to SE taxes. 

I would say Lees Summit, Blue Springs, Grain Valley are good starts which are east and se of downtown.  

I was trying so hard to decrease my tax bill for 2022 that I lost sight of how much the SE tax would hurt me in the long run as the STR turns a profit which it already is.

It is close to Coe College which could be a draw for students to rent, but I've heard that SE Cedar Rapids can be tricky at times.Does anyone invest in this area or have any thoughts on this area of Cedar Rapids?

I have friend and community that is originally originated in SE Asia but due to mobility of Tech Engineering they can purchase condo in Singapore, Dubai and now Zurich.
