Are builders inclined to give additional price breaks... or hold firm on prices but "throw in at no additional cost" a certain option.  

It cost a little more, but well worth it.

They cost a lot but if you find a great deal and make the numbers work, everyone is happy.

I am not saying that you can not or should not manage your own properties only that in the big picture, property management is an essential function of running a rental property and that whether you do it yourself or hire someone, there is a cost. A

Typically, improvements have a useful life of > 1 year and has to be depreciated over its useful life rather than taking the entire cost as an expense in year.I typically try to categorize my repairs/improvements as something that can be capitalized or just expense. 

Aerators usually cost a few dollars(literally- like $3 or $4 each at the hardware store, or less on Amazon,) but can reduce faucet usage pretty dramatically. 

A fresh coat of paint and some new landscaping might work wonders, whereas new windows could cost a bit more and not appear to be as big of an improvement to current or future tenants. 

Additional statutes would also indicate that the price must be reasonable, and in a different "pass the fee on" circumstance it gives 10% above landlord cost as the limit (not saying that applies to keys, but probably meets the definition of "reasonable."

They just didn't understand that it doesn't cost as much to build here as they think it should.

Again how do I find out how much it will cost to build the road, and will i assume the entire cost, as by building this road, it would connect another 8 plots(4 on each side).
