In the spirit of offering you advice from which you can benefit, be aware there are state landlord-tenant laws and also laws established by local municipalities that also come into play.

I can't speak authoritatively (well, I can sound authoritative, but it wouldn't add any additional likelihood of my being correct :), but I would highly recommend running this scenario by HUD or at least by a buyer's agent before doing this.Certainly, buying a house for your son seems close enough that it should qualify as OO, but I'm guessing it violates the letter of the law, if not the spirit of the law.No reason to take a chance when it's pretty easy to just ask first...

You could also collaborate with another VA who might be willing to outsource work to you, or send you clients for a percentage of your pay.

It's always fun when tenants collaborate and attempt to determine what you can do with your property.

Also, they have constant, ongoing relationships with their students to the point of having them meet, work together and collaborate as part of the program.
