Steven Maduro Lazy Land lord tips pt 2 removing wall paper
2 June 2013 | 13 replies
besides you may get carpal tunnel.second the smaller bottles internal parts will fail after a while the pump sprayer will last much longermethodthe procedure is simple but time consuming Unfortunately there is no easy way to do this.make holes in the paper with the mouse thingy make sure you get a good layer of holes I would say at least 40-60% of the paper should be perforated. spray on the solution and follow the mfrs suggestion on waiting time(big point) always follow the MFR suggestion because they usually know how their product works best you can always improvise as you get into the product but start with the mfrs suggestion first.my solution had the sheets pull off in big sheets the more carefully you peel the bigger the sheetsmy recomendation is to take your time with this steppulling carefully and strategically to get the best pull.if you get a stubborn spot stop make more holes and use more solution.the lazy landlord lets the tools and products do all the work.Even if you are careful you will get spots where the wall paper will have to be scrapeda new scraper that is stiff is best I have also found that using my finger nails worked better than the scraper in some situations.I just acted like I was giving my my doggie a good scratching it is the same motion and I was able to get the paper up very efficiently my wall when done looked much better in terms of no damage then my contractors wall which was full of divots and holes which needed to be patched later.as always throw away as you godont move on to the next wall before throwing away the paper that you have removedit sticks to the floor and is a pain to get up. taking more time and making a hard job harder. That is it stay tuned for flooring repair and screening the lazy landlord way.
