The buyers had an inspection done and are claiming roof needs to be replaced because of hail damage.The buyers then had a roofing company come out and inspect the roof, the roofing company findings supported the conclusion that hail damage had degraded the roof.There have been no hail storms in the two years I have owned it.When I purchased the property the previous owner declared that a new roof had been installed in 2019.

Best see a good CPA for how you might be affected when you add that income to any other income you might also have.Slow down a little more and think things thru totally to the final conclusion so that you can include everything.
