After moving out, we re-stained the front porch posts with a darker stain (photo is pre-stain), replaced the front door, did touch-up painting on walls and trim, installed new keyed-alike locks on front/back door, and installed a vented bathroom exhaust fan that wasn't there prior. 

I sold a beachfront home last year that was ICF constructed in 2000 with a metal roof on concrete pilings and the insurance went up triple what my larger 2019 stick built with shingle roof 6 lots down is. 

I would have required that a professional install it.

I had them installed during the remodel up there.The first floor where my wife and I currently occupy is also recently updated with a new kitchen, all new appliances and is also a 2 bedroom with a fully finished basement.

Keep in mind, you will likely have to install a sprinkler system, among making other changes for the home to be used for that purpose.

It’s a similar concept to gold-which I’m a fan of, but it’s way easier to move in and out of positions than physical metals.

At some point I want to build a 5000sf metal building to work out of instead of renting.

After a thorough review of systems, we had plumbers troubleshoot and repair/replace a couple of small chronic bathroom leak issues, and electricians installed a number of end-runs back to the panels so that rooms could each have window A/Cs running without tripping circuits and other such issue.

I’ve found that as long as they’re somewhat insulated and well installed the color won’t matter.
