I once had a 40 gallon fish tank - I was gone for a week on a consulting project.  

Cars are more reasonable now that gas isn't $4 a gallon.

And the reality is, where I live, Gas is still $4.25 a gallon, unemployment is over 12% and foreclosures are still at record highs.

So you an average of 30 days of snow, even if it used 1 gallon of gas per snowfall, you are looking at 30 gallons of gas * $4.00/gal. or $120.00 for the year.

@Scott Weaner,yes you are correct. they need Municipal/city water. also thanks for putting one name brand out. i just knew they existed (and the're not cheap, but neither water damage)i think they use 2-3 gallons for each gallon they "water-sump-pump" out.

@Steve VaughanI got my gallon container from Amazon (currently listed for $70) but I purchased it in 2014 for a little less (it's been awhile so don't hold me to it) . 

If they have an old backflow valve that is stuck open, due to rust or debris, thousands of gallons of poop can enter a home or several homes at one time like a huge mudslide.

You need at least 8-10 gallons per minute capacity for a family.
