I believe you can make money in any area of town but you need to be disciplined when underwriting.

Real estate involves learning the rules of the game, strategy, team building, winning, losing, over coming injuries, being yelled at by a coach, discipline, scoring that game winner, etc so there is plenty of connections one can make.
