If you are a retired cop, teacher or PGE employee you are getting the same pension either way and it goes much farther in Boise or SLC. 

Make sure you let your goals known to the ppl you interact with like your friends, family, teachers and other school employees I guarantee one of them successfully invests or knows someone that successfully invests in real estate and you can work on building a relationship from there. 

We're teachers, so we aren't ballin' out of control like some of the folks on this site, but we've found a good area and a realtor who will video a walk thru in the middle of the night...lol.

I am reminded of the old adage about teachers (another noble profession!)

For example- one of my clients is a teacher-- barely making $50k a year.

I respect Peter Harris as a teacher giving valuable information on YouTube, but the data on students/mentees is not very transparent. 

Look for a teacher, not a salesman.

A CPA needs an accounting degree, a lawyer must have a JD, a dentist must have a medical degree, a banker will most likely have a bachelor's degree, so will a teacher.

Definitely an interesting bill for Hawaii where education is not funded by property taxes.As a quick side note, Hawaii teachers are not paid enough.  

My favorite term is servant-leadership - and I try to follow it and be like my favorite teacher... who lived a little more that 2000 years ago :)Going forward, I'm interested in multifamily and business syndications, mobile home parks, funds, notes, tax liens, and if it is a really good deal I'll pick up a buy and hold rental property.
