Kshama Sawant,a Seattle City council member, is trying to make it a law that tenants can’t be evicted November through March - our winter months.Has anyone heard of anything like this anywhere else in the known universe?

The member I spoke with recommended staggard checks to either yourself or to the seller.  

A radiator above in the druggie condo unit had busted and that caused water to flow downstairs into my family members unit and since nobody lived above anymore the water kept going until the condo HOA could get there.Now the family member is living with his girlfriend trying to sort out who pays for this.

From the landlord tenant act:"If the tenant decides to move during the term of the lease, the tenant is usually still responsible for the rent for the rest ofthe lease period, unless the dwelling can be re-rented earlier.

The fact is that the end date of a lease has zero bering on when a tenant may decide to leave.I only use M2M and good tenants will have no issues with it.

Carpet will get damaged so bad over time that it will need to be completely replaced whereas hardwood flooring can be re-sanded to look like new. 

Personally, as a service member, I vote you tell the first tenant (in person) that you can't extend them because you already filled the spot with another service member.
