I have a question tho...There is a single family home in my neighborhood where the elderly woman recently passed away :(.  

The owner was an elderly woman up in age and the property was just neglected.

While there are many woman who do, there are just as many who don’t.

(According to the listing agent, it's not bad but I haven't see it yet).Waiting on property taxes but it's around $6,000 - $7,000 per year.The house has a Life Estate tenant where the woman lives in the bottom apartment until she passes away Rent Free.

There was a woman that dug in my garbage for aluminum cans, and she would rinse out the cans with my water, and she didnt bother turning the valve off when she was done....and my tenants with kids would fill up water balloons and all kinds of other non sense...

The best was a woman who had been in a car crash, had a back injury, was being kicked out (illegally of course) by her current landlord and the insurance company,  had a new baby,   was being unfairly harrassed by some govt agency  (forget which one) and whose adult son needed to stay with her but he couldn't be available to meet for viewing the apartment or signing the lease,  amongst a bunch of other things I don't really remember.   

I've had a couple strange inquiries come through AirBNB recently.One was from a woman who wanted to rent my place for 3+ months, only paying one month at a time, and requested that I block off future months so that no one else could book my rental.Another was from a gentleman who identified himself as a traveling medical professional and wanted to book my rental outside of AirBNB, then reveals how he's cash-strapped because of a family matter, yada yada...I declined both.

I think it's probably just less intimidating for a homeowner to call a woman back than a man.3.

I am an educated (Pepperdine University), 46 year old woman who wants to live a quiet life in an area where her neighbors are at her peer level.

I assumed they were the owners so I rode my bike by the place and said hello, striking up a conversation with the woman.
