Although this is my first post here, I’ve been on the bp band wagon for about a year.Last year my wife and I decided to start driving semi trucks so that we could eliminate our debt and to eventually purchase a small resort.

Resorts and retirement communities were developed almost overnight.

You should have some kind of forced buy/sell mechanism so that you don't have to resort to litigation to split up the business.

There's a resort area that I've seen some condos in that I'd like to purchase for short term rentals and bc I love to snowboard.

This would go for standard or short term since the snow creates ski weekend guests and consequently the need for resort workers to look for a long term rental thru the winter. 

Right there the owner is paying about 17% right off the top before other expenses.Some owners self manage even from a distance of hundreds of miles, primarily to save on the property management fees.The 1987 Federal Tax revisions gutted the viability of resort rental properties by limiting losses. 

Account Closed: We own a long term rental here in Mammoth already and have definitely looked into vacation rentals as well, but real estate prices are pretty high because it is a resort location.

The use of leverage is the last resort, and indicates a break down in goodwill and function in the relationship.  

Two of the better known vacation home resorts are ChampionsGate and Reunion.  

I owned a condotel unit in SC resort. it is closet to the beach.
