Two things happened to cause the delay. 1) In the city of Burlington, when you take possession of a vacant property, it has to be registered with the city as a vacant property.

Our server delivers notice to "all other occupants known and unknown in possession of premises" while on site.I find it very unlikely a school is requiring the dependents to be on the lease... but we have had schools contact us to see if students lived at the claimed address.

I have one rental in Louisiana and when we got flooded... the rental lease is not in effect anymore as the house is not live able.... it's a pain if u don't have insurance.... if ur renters are good for it.... at least ask them to take out their stuff in the curb... a lot of renters just here just left.... and landlords has to do all the hauling away of their thrash too...On the gentle note.... pls be cautious when talking with renters... pls be kind and understandable that they too lost a lot of their possessions aside from the fact that they might not have a house to rent as housing demand will be very high....

It is Sept so I'd give him his 60 day notice ASAP (if he's been there more than a year), then you have another 2 months if it goes to eviction and you'll get possession around the end of Jan.
