In reading this thread, I think you have larger problems than just if your partner is overcharging you $200You wrote that the house was built in the 1800's and needed major, "never ending" work, so it's surprising to see that you've only had to spend $8,000.00 so far and are already over budget.

Granted this would not keep a partner from kicking back funds after closing.Kick backs seem to be common with rehabs, over charging by contractors and doing additional work or cash back and phantom workers.

Right now HE perceives the value of your site to be pretty good, so if you were ever going to sell I think him paying a couple thousand for it would be a strong offer.I don't know which company he is using so I wont speak about them specifically, but in general a lot SEO / Internet marking companies are full of ****, over charge people for work that never yields results for them.
