Newbee from Houston, Texas - Looking to invest
Hi all
I am really excited to have found this community. By way of introduction, myself and my business partner are from Houston but we currently live in London, UK. We both have full-time jobs and a decent amount of cash to invest ($300-400k)
In terms of experience: we are complete newbies! Past couple of months we have been furiously educating ourselves about the real estate market and investing. We have talked to some brokers and even made some tentative offers on small multi-family apartments but nothing has fallen through (yet!).
Lack of experience aside, I think the biggest challenge we are facing is not being physically there in markets we want to invest in and not having the correct contacts.
Looking forward to spending all my time on the forums here (especially at work when my manager is looking the other way :) )

If you want to invest remotely, invest in turnkey. It doesn't even have to be in Houston. You are at a severe disadvantage if you remotely want to compete with people that are physically in a place you want to invest in.
