As for other legalities, I would just say to familiarize yourself with Fair Housing Laws and Connecticut General Statues regarding Landlord-Tenant responsibilities but I'm not an attorney. 

Are you going to have high-end finishings like granite countertops, marble tile, hardwood floors throughout, vaulted ceilings, 9' walls, etc.  

This is important because other debt collection "clocks" start ticking, such as statues related to debt collection.  

The house has none of the original detail as far as I can tell, apart from some small marble bits here and there.

What is needed to complete:-Additional painting and touchup painting of walls, trim, and blinds-Repairs to oak wood flooring, plus sanding, sealing, and clear-coating the entire floor-Laying marble tile around a fireplace-Installing a sink in a granite countertop, including cutting the holes, etc.

The rule on service of process for junior interests varies by statue.  

The interested parties then have a defined time to respond according to statue. 

The house has been painted, the new roof is on, the windows are all in, the doors are in, the exterior lights are installed, and the bushes in front of the house are not such a mess.Originally:Now:The exterior paint color was "gray marble" and I got it from Menards.

We evicted a family a few years ago and the housing court told the tenants about the statue and warned them against damaging or stealing anything.

Remember - this house has significant foundation problems (no one is playing marbles there) so those costs will have to be included in my rehab budget.
