The labor force is already down ~7 million (of 160 million total) workers due to extra early retirees, millions extra on disability, extra deaths, and no immigration for 1-2 years; so, companies have already taken unintended layoffs of 5%. 

I'm not going there...Immigration?

- the area of the country, the nature of the workforce (unionized, right to work, high level of illegal immigrants, etc), the size of the contractor, etc.

if he is in jail because of immigration status then you can just pay his family to leave.

I am Romanian, technically an immigrant, but really have more of a first generation experience as I came over with my parents when I was just 2 years old.

Real estate helped me with financial stability after immigrating to Chicago in 1986 with $15 ( It was actually $20 but spent $5 on pastries at the layover airport).

I moved here with my parents when they immigrated in 1978 or so, and I've lived , went to school and worked here since then.I'm not so sure I would call real-estate here a "boom-bust" cycle so much as a continuous upwards trend with a few notable reversions to sanity and one very notable boom-bust cycle (which the entire nation seem to go through at the same time.)I've never met anyone here that has ever thought buying was a good idea at anytime, myself included.

With most immigrants that I see, its not a matter of having bad credit, it's the issue of having no credit at all.

Does anyone rent to immigrants/ permanant residents?

They are immigrating to Orlando area from Canada and are looking to rent a property for a minimum of a year.
