Offer to pay for 1 month to store their items at a storage faculty and provide money for a moving truck to get their items to the storage facility. 

I'm in the NW burbs -- but Will, Cook, and DuPage county all have REI meetups.

I found the storage facility by cold-calling everyone in town until I found one willing to sell.

I did the civil engineering on a senior living facility that just opened up last year on Lake Granbury. 

There simply is nothing on Wall Street that matches the Investment ROI of real estate, only if one "cooks the books" and does a whole bunch of "what-if" gymnastics can we get there. 

If had that taco truck, you would have food costs, fuel to cook it, staff etc., does that means it's "bad"????

my biggest profit for just buy and hold was land as well.. we bought 3.5 acres in Sonoma county CA for 27k  in 96 ish  sold in 2000 for 2.2 mil. paid tax's of 300 a year and mowed it about every 3 years for 500 bucks.. same thing as you .. unbuildable acreage but Indians bought the land next to us and built the largest indian gaming facility in CA

The law does require you to have an interactive discussion with her but - again - you're renting an apartment not a bike storage facility.
