Olympics are a short term burst that seemingly do not pay off in the long run.

I have competed in 29 countries, an alternate in boxing for the 92 olympics, made the olympic team for karate in 92 but the event was cut 6 months prior, former hand to hand combat instructor for the LA Sherrifs, etc etc...I have been called Sensei at the age of 12 nad has been morphed as a name rather than just a title.Fluff?

@Jerry Padilla  For "tiny", downtown Tokyo, Japan condos have some great ideas. 

(New York, Tokyo, Hong Kong, London, etc, etc).

It may continue to climb bc the standard of living is very nice still and there are a lot of programs like Senior Olympics that keeps bringing buyers. 

Is anyone heading to the Olympics in Beijing?

I was just in Tokyo this past winter and can confidently say you might enjoy the break from the crowds and stimulations of Tokyo for SF.
