I've had others tell me I'd be a fool to walk away from a secure job to jump in blind.

That said, study and read these forums and pay attention to everything, but make sure you don't just blindly swallow everything! 

Luxery rentals in exclusive resort areas, where short-term renters typically drive up in a Lamborghini and wearing enough diamonds to blind a person v. 3/2/2 brick on slab in a subdivision rented to a blue-collar Joe. 

There are some complex structures to mitigate that for sure where the owner might hold assets in a blind trust with no control but you are a one man show and that won't ever pass the smell test to a judge.Asset protection is all about risk tolerance.

@Antonio Jones I think it's great you are asking those types of questions, I think new investors can get overly excited in the beginning and end up jumping right in blindly just to get their first property. 

of course, but without the specific on the ground 1st hand knowledge of the situation, as it moves, you would be going into this with the illusion of clear sight...and in reality, blind as a bat.  

Seems to me that Unless they have blindness or epilepsy or some serious condition they don’t need a dog .

Every time I’ve moved into a rental I’m discovering things that aren’t perfect and don’t work right (that I don’t need repaired/can live with) all throughout the first week like window screens, blinds, scrapes on the floor, etc.

I have vertical blinds in my rentals but I’m tired of the maintenance/repair/clean up after every tenant.

I might be worried for nothing but to blindly accept the SELLERS inspections is dumb.
