I have been in hotels and resorts for years and I have seen many different types of destinations that work because of what they are.

The teachings free, you have to pay for airfare and hotel, I'm assuming. 

Beyond that, I remember being a hotel guest when I spilt a bottle of red wine on the room's bedding and the hotel didn't bat an eye.

@Joe Butcher,After reading the lawsuit you posted it looks like the women might be gold diggers because they went to a strip joint and to a hotel with the subjects, and it looks like a set up.

If you provide specific services (called "substantial services", think hotel) then it’s considered a business and reported on Sch C (this is rare for an STR). 

Many prefer white because it looks upscale and like a nice hotel, but lots of hosts have been moving to light gray to help with the staining and spots that can occur.

You are effectively operating a hotel.

The only way an AirBnB would work is because there are no Hotels close by (that I know of).

In my opinion STR and small hotels are where the money is made in Spain. 

this is the exact reasons I only stay in Hotels and will only do STR as an absolute necessity..
