ideally I'd like an alarm that operates on a cellular signal and is essentially a wireless system that I could move from property to property.I've found the 'tattle tale' system but it seems kind of pricey, are there any others you would reccomend?

Aloha,Assuming you have some type of alarm system in the property, you should fairly easily be able to come up with a temperature alarm that could reside IN the refrigerator, and communicate with the alarm panel via battery wireless.

It is not the most cost effective, but they have remote wireless signals (no need for internet connection) with battery backups and remote viewing capabilities.
