We put a Wifi extender in the apartment with a guest log-in, so we are not sharing the network that we use.   

To log my thoughts:Multi-Family clearly seems the way to go.5+ buildings sound like they need to be more self-sustaining, so that seems like the way to go.

Hey BP,I don't normally don't post but have decided I am going to start a log of my husband and I venture into building a New construction Spec House.

In addition to that I do monthly ledgers that list the running log of payments received to date. 

Separately, I've noticed that you could build (nearly) turn-key log cabin home kits to put on these plots of lands in the 1000-1250 sq ft range for  ~100K (I say nearly as I'd be doing the roofing, some electrical/some plumbing/minor details-- I have experience with these).

I have to tell the tenant with the house thermostat in their living room they can't open the window during heating season.I recommend something like this USB logging thermometer in a thermostat lockbox as a way of documenting the actual temp if you have to deal with authorities (lady above was S-8).

Everywhere it's start and stop, picking here, picking there, just the service was completed.I question their labor logs.

So I think the remodel was extensive and done well.Carriage house log cabin out back is super cute.

But not enough trees for logging.
