I will still likely be doing an outreach clinic in town A 1 or 2 days a week and I will need a place to stay overnight. 

The trial version is so limited it doesnt even help in making a decision.

And if it goes to trial, you might get awarded attorney's fees based on breach of contract. 

Unless you have proof otherwise (besides just your process server's memory) the judge will often give the defendant the benefit of the doubt, set aside the default judgment, and set the case for trial.
