Hey Bigger Pockets people,In an attempt not to send you into a boredom coma I will quickly give you a bullet point of me and my situation.* Full time firefighter* prior knowledge of construction and civil engineering * possible career change* beginning stages of entering the real estate world With that being said, my wife and I have been interested in getting into the real estate world in some form or fashion.  

I just look back on my Career and the very best year I had for buying Foreclosures was 2004.. ( because in 2010 I was out of bullets LOL) there are ALWAYS people who bite off more than can choose..

This lines up closely to my first bullet above - without education and knowing your strengths and weaknesses it will be difficult to select the best fit.Best of luck!

There only renting out for $1500 to her because at that time they couldn't find tennants and they had to bite the bullet.

They don't value your property (see bullet above) and will damage it.

But if you believe in the property long term you should keep it and rent it for whatever it needs to rent for, keep in mind every month it’s not rented is money out of your pocket so it might make sense to bite the bullet and take less rent.
