Buy it with low down as an owner-occupant - live in it - use the spare bedrooms as short-term rentals on AirBnb.At  the moment the marketplace is definitely moving in that direction.Good luck!

Welcome, I'm an IT Professional who just started doing this business in my spare time, and closing on my first Duplex Dec 15, so brand new to the world of investing also.  

With that one, we would have spare months of negociation.

I knew a woman in NYC who started an AirBNB business renting out spare rooms in her apartment then as the business grew she upgraded apartments and now owns units all over world.  

My goal was 60 days so I hit that with time to spare.

All of this compacted into a year....Good call Jeff.

Hi Glenn - I live in Mooresville and am curious if you have any local experience with modulars...just did a mill house rehab and it has a spare lot zoned duplex and a Mod Duplex seems  a good  way to go but not sure of local market forces....I have looked at Freedom Homes dw
