I don't know if unpermitted or unapproved additions will keep you from getting financing, but it can cause you problems with the city, including them potentially evicting your tenants.Typically a lender is going to want to see:- paycheck stubs for three months- bank and brokerage statements for 2-3 months- two years tax returns, they will make you sign a form giving them permission to request these from the IRS- if you've opened any new credit accounts in the last year or two you may have to write letters explaining why and what you bought- HUD-1 settlement statement from when you bought the house- Insurance policyAnd who knows what else.

The underwriter on the deal had me send in a Notarize letter giving her permission to use the money in our joint account .The reason for the letter was because we were not married at the time, She was using the money in that account for the 3.5% down payment and for closing cost.

My first reaction was that this feels like a bit of killing a mosquito with a hammer, but your later postings reveal that you find them to be a troublesome tenant.You likely have cured them of fixing things without your permission, but I doubt their complaining is going to stop.
