Anyone rented a property after installing solar panels? 

Do solar panels add any value to a rental property?

I'd love to connectI considered going but the price approaches BPCon with a speaker list less established than many single panels at BPCon.  

If the floor unit is electric disconnect and replace on the electric panel with wall units.

As for electricity & laundry set it up so that you run 3 separate hook ups off of each tenants electrical panel and then have them supply their own washer & dryers.

I just looked up InvestHer and saw that you were a STR panel speaker! 

That said there's a device called a Emon Demon and it's basically a Device you install between the main panel and the tenants sub panels that shows you what each electrical sub panel is drawing in terms of voltage and amp hours, I believe they even make some that will send you a email so you know who's using what power and itemize it on a spreadsheet, you can use that for billing purposes.

I am in the process of installing solar panels and my end goal is to take over all their “electrical bills” and charging a separate utilities fee.

So many things broke or needed repair within the first year or so: refrigerator, microwave, dirty carpets ripped up and subfloor repaired, AC compressor, electric panel updated, section of the roof repaired, leaky kitchen faucet, garbage disposal, other kitchen updates...Anyway, I went through just about ALL of my additional savings for these repairs and there are definitely more that need to be done.
