I don't have personal experience with Section 8 either so don;t know which way it goes locally, but what worries me more is that apparently, the housing authority (at least the one here in our neck of the woods), can - and WILL - decide to reduce the approved rents seemingly at random (e.g. whenever they run out of money or face budget cuts).This has definitely kept me out of the Section 8 market
