I also have another broker in NY whose clients are foreign investors and private equity managers, and we're collaborating on bringing some of his investors to the table to pitch one of my deals.The upside in being in a male dominated industry and being fairly younger than most of the men who've built their career doing this is that I find that a lot of men are happy to see a woman at the table and are more open to sharing the wisdom.

The community of operators is small and very collaborative.

Hi @Paul Stathis,I agree with @Caleb Brown post - prioritize your personal finances before taking on real estate.

Some investors prioritize proximity to family, while others prioritize higher returns or specific market conditions.

It's harder to replace a handyman or contractor that does good work (and prioritizes your work) for a fair price. 

If you don't prioritize your time correctly investors will run you around rampant for no real pay.

However, in this case knowing your options may help you better prioritize your decision criteria.

If you have other debt or savings goals, such as saving for a down payment on another property, it may be more beneficial to prioritize those first before making extra payments towards your mortgage.
