@Wei Jie Yang I'd agree with @Odie Ayaga most HML's that I've ever come across or done business with lend to an LLC, you should work with a CPA or attorney as I am neither but it sounds like an LLC would be your best course of action.

@Steven Yang I don't know if you are interested in buying in South Jersey or not, but if you are, you can find some nice properties in that range, with not too terrible taxes.

Main issues are renovating units one off with people still living in the bldg, and having a mix of tenants and owners in the bldg (yin and yang...if you will ;) So as the owner you will probably have to manage all that
